Card. With wings moving in a figure-eight pattern, hummingbirds are able to hover and to fly straight up, down, backwards, and even upside down. Each day hummingbirds consume almost fifty percent of their body weight in sugar. Despite lacking the namesake ruby feathers of the male's throat, this female is lovely in her own right.
